In an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia post-match, Lautaro Martinez shared his thoughts following Inter’s second half collapse in their 3-2 defeat to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League group stage.

“What happened in the second half? In the first half we did so well, then we were immature in the second half. I am very sad and disappointed, it was a game that we played well in the first half and then in the second half we were a completely different team,” the Argentine, who opened the scoring in the match, began.

“I think it was a drop in concentration and organisation. We need to improve and mature because otherwise it becomes difficult. We lost after leading 2-0 and that should not happen.

He concluded: “We have to improve, now we have to win the last two games. There will be more difficulties ahead, we always left but hope is not lost.”
