Antonio Conte wants to win the Serie A title this season with Inter according to a report in today’s print edition of Milanese newspaper Corriere della Sera.
Conte’s Inter have surprised many with them being just a point behind league leaders Juventus in the standings after 11 games played in the league.
Conte will soon meet with club management to discuss the January transfer market, in which, as per the report, Inter will try to sign three players of international calibre rather than simply targeting standard reinforcements.
He is hopeful of being able to remain breathing down the neck of Juventus as it will give him more bargaining power in these talks.
Despite his outburst post-Borussia Dortmund, in which he appeared to call out the management, the report assures that the relationship between him and Inter management is solid and that there is complete trust between them.
The goal of his outburst was to show people that had thought the club had already closed the gap on Juventus and could compete in Europe were wrong.
