According to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport, Napoli are already on the lookout for manager Carlo Ancelotti’s replacement and have identified former Inter manager Luciano Spalletti as a possible candidate.

The situation at Napoli at the moment is very heated after the players did not go into a training camp, which was imposed by club owner and president Aurelio De Laurentiis, in a bid to change their fortunes on the field after recent struggles.

Ancelotti did not share De Laurentiis view and this is understood to have cast doubt over his future at the manager of the club.

Spalletti is currently out of work having been sacked by Inter this past Summer following two years in charge. He still has a contract with Inter worth €5 million net per season for two seasons and Inter would be more than happy to offload his salary if Napoli came in for him.

Spalletti would however have to agree a pay off, something that may be difficult given he was not happy with the offer Inter made him to terminate his contract when AC Milan came in for him a few weeks ago.
