Olivier Giroud has already given the green light to join Inter in the upcoming January transfer window according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.

The Frenchman has fallen down the pecking order at Premier League side Chelsea this term due to the emergence of several young prospects, including Tammy Abraham, whose form has led to Giroud’s minutes being slashed.

Giroud has just six months left on his contract and with EURO 2020 on the horizon he wishes to ensure he can be in the France team but to do so he needs to play regularly which is why he has given the green light. It now remains to be seen if a deal can be reached between the two clubs.

The report goes on to state that the alternative to Giroud could well be Genoa’s Christian Kouame. The 21-year-old Ivorian has made 12 appearances across all competitions this season and has netted five goals and tallied three assists.
