Inter defender Andrea Ranocchia discussed his experiences at Inter and his various defensive partnerships in an exclusive interview in today’s Matchday Programme for Inter’s league clash against Hellas Verona tonight, with Italian media outlet FcInterNews noting his words.

“I have spent complicated seasons here, but in recent years many, primarily fans, have rediscovered the real Ranocchia: that which has always been there, ready to show his face. I’m proud of how he managed to change even the most critical moments. It’s been a long, sometimes difficult path, but it has helped to define me as a person.”

The 31-year-old Italian, who joined Inter in 2011, then touched on his various teammates from Ivan Cordoba and Lucio to Milan Skriniar and Stefan de Vrij.

“It’s stimulating and beautiful to be in contact with such important personalities. Training with such talented players will improve your footballing and human skills. I think of Godin: he’s a symbol of his country, but he came here with humility and a desire to work.”
