Inter owned midfielder Radja Nainggolan, who is currently on loan with Cagliari, spoke to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia following the Sardinian side’s 5-2 win over Fiorentina earlier today.

“Rather than talk about my loan redemption cost, I think it’s useful to show more appreciation to my teammates. We’re doing an incredible thing, at the beginning of the year nobody would have said that we’d win and be dominating games.”

“We have to give credit to Cagliari, there’s an enthusiasm here that hasn’t been seen in years. This league position after 12 games is incredible, we always talk about the big teams, but this Cagliari deserves a little more attention.”

“It was incredible to see the fans cheering us on in the rain, they gave us a great hand. There’s enthusiasm, you can see and hear it. It certainly helps us a lot more.”

The 31-year-old Belgian midfielder touched on the reason why he returned to Cagliari and turned down Fiorentina.

“It’s easy to talk about when things go well, I made a choice. When I decide to do something I do it, whether it’s acceptable or not, it’s part of my character.”

“I’m happy to be here and to have had this opportunity, I thank the president because he put in a lot of effort to take me. Now I want to pay him back by giving my all.”
