Inter faced a tough Hellas Verona team last night, with their victory putting them top of the league table, two points ahead of Juventus, who play AC Milan tonight.

A report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport analysed the victory.

The Nerazzurri secured their third 2-1 victory in a row in the league, showing the determination of the squad and their passionate coach, Antonio Conte, the report highlights.

Goals from Nicolò Barella and Matias Vecino, both midfielders, were instrumental in gifting the Nerazzurri three points, with Valentino Lazaro’s impressive performance not going unnoticed.

Furthermore, their opponents Verona were no easy team to beat, the report adds. The Veronese side, under the guidance of coach Ivan Juric, have one of the best defences in the league, only conceding 11 goals in the first 12 games of the season, impressive for a newly promoted side.

Their early 1-0 lead saw them defend heavily, but Conte’s squad didn’t lose their patience and earnt the three points.
