According to a report in today’s print edition of Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws, Inter had a scout present at Zulte Waregem vs Anderlecht this past Friday night.

Inter were one of no less than a dozen clubs present at the Regenboogstadion with Arsenal, Ajax, Atalanta, Feyenoord, Genoa, Rangers, Manchester United, Olympique Marseille, Real Sociedad, Sevilla and Wolverhampton all also present.

As per the report, Inter’s scout was left particularly impressed by Anderlecht duo Yari Verschaeren and Sambi Lokonga.

Verschaeren is an 18-year-old attacking midfielder, who is already involved at senior level with the Belgian national team. This season he has made 15 appearances across all competitions, in which he has contributed two goals and one assist.

Lokonga is meanwhile primarily a defensive midfielder but also capable of playing at central midfield too. The 20-year-old, who has two under 21 caps for Belgium, has made 10 appearances this season but made no goal contributions to date.

The report goes on to conclude that Anderlecht are reluctant to lose both players and it will take huge offers to even tempt them into dealing them awya.
