Former Inter striker Julio Cruz has spoken on his relationship with former strike partner and ex-Inter player Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Swedish striker is out of contract with MLS franchise LA Galaxy come the end of next month and due to this, has drawn several links to other clubs, including Inter, Bologna, AC Milan and Napoli and that is just naming those from Italy.

“Ibra was fantastic: We always got on well both on and off the field. He respected me, I respected him: and that’s the thing that led me to appreciate him more. One year we scored many goals together. I had a lot of fun with him,” Cruz remarked in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, which appeared in today’s print edition.

Cruz was then asked about Nicolas Dominguez, who is set to join Bologna.

“I don’t know him very well but I know he is a great guy. I tell the Bologna fans one thing: let him grow in peace, because the Argentines need it, just look at Lautaro Martinez, who is now unleashed.”
