Journalist Matteo Marani has commented on Inter’s performance against Hellas Verona and Inter manager Antonio Conte as he appeared in the studios of Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia

“Against Verona, Inter deserved to win. They had more possession and so many chances. The Antonio Conte effect can be seen in Inter’s consistent results,” he began.

“The only difference between Inter and Juventus at the moment is that direct match between them, where Inter lost. If it were not for that match, Inter would be in front.

“The situation at Inter has changed completely. Conte shook up the environment after Dortmund with some words that might have been a bit exaggerated but words that did get a performance out of the team against Verona. It is great news that Matias Vecino and Nicolo Barella both socred. They are both midfielders and this is important.

Marani concluded: “Conte is making his mark on the league, he is perhaps the only real factor in this season.”
