Inter defender Stefan De Vrij celebrated the Nerazzurri’s 2-1 win over Hellas Verona on Saturday and commented on his assist in an Instagram post yesterday.
The 27-year-old Dutch defender has been vital for the Nerazzurri so far this season, making 14 appearances and providing four assists so far under coach Antonio Conte’s guidance. He has found more space to play as a play maker following tighter marking to creative midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, evident considering he already has three more assists than last season.
De Vrij posted two photos of himself and midfielder Nicolò Barella alongside the caption: “When Nicolo Barella makes your simple pass become an assist.”
