Speaking to the gathered media from their training camp, Inter and Slovakia central defender Milan Skriniar has reflected on Inter’s season so far.

“We are happy with how things have gone. We won 2-1 against Helleas Verona in the match before the international break began. We dominated the matches but it is never easy to play against teams that defened so deep,” he explained.

“There are still many matches to go until the end of the season. There is satisfaction at how we have done in the league but we have to also try to win in the Champions League.”

The 24-year-old is now in his third season with the club following his arrival from fellow Serie A side Sampdoria back in 2017.

Skriniar has went from strength to strength in his time in Nerazzurri and has drawn links to several of the European elite, including Barcelona, and has been tipped by many to become a future Inter captain.
