In today’s print edition, Gazzetta dello Sport have taken a look at the best performing players in Serie A and some of the biggest flops, with three players they examined concerning Inter.

Inter central midfielder Stefano Sensi ranks among their top performers: “Hands up those of you who foresaw such a boom. Even the leaders of Inter (off the record) say they are amazed. Already at Sassuolo he showed great qualities, but at Inter he exploded: 3 goals and 4 assists in 7 games and is a leader in the midfield.”

Radja Nainggolan, who left Inter to join Cagliari on loan also features among the best: “The Ninja you did not expect. Less disruptive, but more mature, more essential. As a playmaker, he is deadly and has the character of a true leader. With him, Cagliari can aspire to Europe.”

Inter central defender Diego Godin is however among the flops: “With Skriniar and de Vrji he had to form an impassable wall. Instead, he has encountered serious problems with Conte’s three-man defence. Now he’s sitting on the bench, giving way to youngster Bastoni.”
