Inter president Steven Zhang is confident about Inter’s chances of continuing to rival Juventus at the top of the Serie A table according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

After 12 league games played, Inter have surprised many with them being just one point behind their arch-rivals having picked up a possible 31 points from the 36 available to them. Inter’s only loss at this stage of the season in the league came against Juventus.

Despite the odds being massively stacked up against the Nerazzurri following their 3-2 defeat away to Borussia Dortmund last week in the Champions League, Inter manager Antonio Conte has no intention of giving up on progression in the competition.

Inter find themselves three points behind the Germans heading into the final two matches in the group that will see them play host to Barcelona before heading to Czech Republic to take on Prague.

Conte is well aware just how important progression would be as it would lead to more funds being released to him to strengthen his squad in the upcoming January window.
