Alessandro Bastoni’s condition will be tested between today and tomorrow to discover the extent of the injury he has sustained according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.
The young centre back has been forced to pull out of Italy under 21 duty due to a foot injury, which he sustained during Inter’s 2-1 victory at home to Hellas Verona this past weekend.
The Italy under 21 medical staff will conduct some tests on the 20-year-old, who will have to miss out on Italy’s EURO 2021 qualifying matches with both Iceland and Armenia.
Inter’s medical team will also conduct their own tests once the former Atalanta player returns to the Angelo Moratti Sports Centre.
The injury does not seem too serious and the report states that it wold appear as if him missing the matches is more of a precautionary measure.
Bastoni has made six appearances across all competitions for Inter this season.
