In an interview with TuttoMercatoWeb, former Inter player Roberto Boninsegna has shared his views on the current state of the team and where he thinks they should look to improve in January.

“I think Conte was only half-right in what he had to say after Dortmund. In defence and in midfield Inter are sorted but they are missing a deputy Lukaku,” he began.

“A team who wants to win the title cannot rely on a kid like Esposito as his replacement. Inter need to sign a striker in the transfer window.

“Returning to Conte’s comments, he was wrong to blame the team after the defeat with Borussia Dortmund. You win together and you lose together.”

He went on to share his delight at seeing Radja Nainggolan doing so well whilst out on loan at Cagliari.

“I am pleased for him because in Milan he was not able to impose himself. The air of Sardinia has done him good, it makes the difference. He seems to be in great shape both physically and mentally.”
