Alessandro Florenzi could be the player that Inter look to bring in to bolster the midfield in January according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

Florenzi is a player who knows Serie A extremely well and also knows Inter manager Antonio Conte and his ways due to working with him in the Italian national team, where he played in the midfield of Conte’s 3-5-2 system from time to time.

As per the report, Roma could well be open to letting the Italian go in a loan with redemption option deal in January although a swap deal between the two clubs – that would see Matteo Politano go the other way – cannot be ruled out either.

28-year-old Florenzi, who is primarily a right back, has spent nearly his entire playing career on the books of Roma aside from a brief stint with Crotone.

This season he has made nine appearances across all competitions for a total of 571 minutes but has been unable to score or assist.
