In an interview with magazine Serie A Inside, former Inter and current Genoa striker Goran Pandev has spoken on how it feels to have former Inter teammate Thiago Motta now as his manager.

“The coach is making his mark on the squad and giving the team confidence. He was a great footballer and he is a very good person. In this role he can give a lot. I spent some of his best career moments with him. I remember his determination at Inter: he charged us all up.”

Pandev and Motta spent one season together as teammates, during which they made history together as they helped Inter toward achieving a record first ever treble for an Italian team including Serie A, Coppa Italia and the Champions League.

Motta has been in charge of Genoa since October and has led them to a win, a draw and two defeats in his first four games in charge.
