Inter have the fifth highest average attendance in European football this season according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

Inter have had an average of 64,593 fans turn up for their six home games to date in Serie A this term. Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Manchester United are ahead of Inter and take up the first four slots for highest average attendances.

The report from the Turin based news outlet goes on to state that Inter’s upcoming Champions League match at home to Barcelona is heading toward being a sell-out.

This will be Inter’s penultimate group stage match and a match which they have to win if they wish to keep their chances of progression in the competition alive.

Heading into the match, Inter find themselves down in third place in group F, three points behind second placed Borussia Dortmund, who find themselves ahead having beaten Inter 3-2 in the last match.
