Nemanja Matic is looking to leave Manchester United in the upcoming January transfer window according to a report from British newspaper The Telegraph.

The Serbian midfielder is very much out of favour at the Red Devils, who he tried to leave in the Summer. Due to several exits of other midfielders, Matic was not allowed to leave and the report states that his exit in January could well depend on whether or not United are able to recruit a new midfielder.

As per the report, as things stand Italy appears the most likely destination for the 31-year-old, where both Inter and AC Milan have shown an interest in signing him in recent weeks.

The former Benfica midfielder, who arrived at Old Trafford for a fee of €35 million in 2017 from Chelsea, has been limited to just five appearances across all competitions this season and has not featured since the beginning of October.
