Lorenzo Pirola has taken to photo sharing social media platform Instagram to share his thoughts and feelings following Italy under 17s elimination from the under 17 World Cup.
Carmine Nunziata’s sides tournament came to an end after falling to a 2-0 defeat to tournament hosts Brazil, who will now take on Pirola’s Inter Primavera teammate Lucien Agoume’s France in the semi-finals in the coming days.
Pirola caught the attention of many with his performances with reports in the media stating both Manchester City and Manchester United were impressed with what they saw from him.
“Our journey at the World Cup ends. We leave with our heads held high. Thank you all. Forza Italy,” he posted.
