Inter are seriously thinking about making a move for Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud in the upcoming January transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Frenchman has fallen right down the pecking order at the Premier League and with a contract set to expire at the end of this season, the report states that it could take just €6-7 million to sign him in January.

Inter will make a move for Giroud regardless of what happens with Matteo Politano. Some reports have suggested that the former Sassuolo player could leave Inter in January, perhaps even in a swap deal to former club Roma in exchange for Alessandro Florenzi.

The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to state that if Inter are unable to get Giroud, there are alternatives in mind. Whilst SPAL’s Andrea Petagna seems unlikely, a move for Udinese’s Kevin Lasagna could not be ruled out.
