Inter vice-president Javier Zanetti has shared his hopes to see Lautaro Martinez remain with the club for a long time amid reported interest from other clubs.

“Lautaro is only 22-years-old and has exploded with a very high return in a short time. In signing him we made an investment that will pay off in the future. Barcelona are interested? We want him stay with us. He’s only 22-years-old, I hope he stays here for a while,” he began an interview with Marca.

Next Zanetti spoke on former Inter boss Jose Mourinho, who still remains out of work.

“Knowing Jose, I know that he is waiting for an opportunity at a great club. He passionately lives for football and is a very skilled manager. When I think of him, I have good memories. Surely we will see him back managing soon.

“Back to Real Madrdi? I don’t know. He was already there but before he makes a decision, he will analyse everything.”

In conclusion he spoke on the offers that came in for him during his playing career with Inter.

“I had offers and I was going to Real Madrid before signing for Inter. Inter is my family and I am happy that I could finish my career there.”
