Inter manager Antonio Conte is ready to welcome Alessandro Florenzi to Inter with open arms according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

Florenzi’s departure from Roma in the upcoming January transfer window seems pretty inevitable now due to him falling out of favour with Giallorossi manager Paulo Fonseca, who has had Florenzi remain an unused substitute in four of their last five games.

Conte could look to utilise Florenzi in the midfield, similarly to how he used him whilst in charge of him during his stint in charge of the Italian national team, despite Florenzi primarily being a full back.

Florenzi is however not the only player that Inter have drawn links to who could help them bolster the midfield department.

Conte’s dream signing is Arturo Vidal but as things stand it is unlikely that Barcelona will allow him to leave, even if they do open up to letting him go, Inter would only be willing to take him on loan. Udinese’s Rodrigo de Paul and Atalanta’s Dejan Kulusevski are two others to have been linked.
