In today’s print edition, Gazzetta dello Sport have examined the impact that manager Antonio Conte has made in his short stint in charge of the club so far and compared what he has done to how Inter did last year.

Conte’s Inter are six points better off than Luciano Spalletti’s side were this time last season and find themselves far closer to Juventus too.

Whilst nine points separated Spalletti’s side from the Bianconeri, just a single point separates Conte’s Inter, who have picked up 31 points from a possible 36, which is a record points tally for an Inter manager after 12 games in the three points per win era.

Inter have four more goals compared to last season with them having netted 26 and also have 10 wins to Spalletti’s Inter’s eight.

Conte’s Inter have become far more composed in front of goal with 51% of shots ending up on target compared to the 38.5% of Spalletti’s Inter.

One thing Spalletti’s Inter did do better in was clean sheets. Spalletti managed Inter to six clean sheets after the first dozen games whilst Conte has managed his Inter to four.
