Romelu Lukaku trained separately to the rest of his Belgian teammates as they started their preparations for their final EURO 2020 qualifiers according to a report from Belgian news outlet L’Avenir.

The report does however not explain the reasoning behind the 26-year-old striker training separate to the rest of the group.

It now remains to be seen whether Lukaku will be available to manager Roberto Martinez for selection for the matches with Russia away from home on Saturday and Cyprus at home next Tuesday.

Lukaku, who is the record goalscorer in the Belgian national team with 53 goals in 84 appearances, joined Inter in a club record €65 million transfer from Premier League club Manchester United this past Summer.

He has been in phenomenal form since joining the Nerazzurri. In 12 league games, the former Everton player, who has a contract with Inter until 2024, has netted nine goals. He has however struggled in Europe having failed to score in three Champions League outings.
