Noted journalist Maurizio Pistocchi believes Inter should be looking at signing Rodrigo de Paul over Dejan Kulusevski in the January transfer window to strengthen the team.

“Kulusevski is a player who has great physicality but does not have extraordinary technique. Inter already have a player like him in the team in Matteo Politano, who has no place in Conte’s system,” he said in an interview with Marco Barzaghi on his You Tube channel.

“If I were to advise Inter, I would tell them to go for de Paul. He is much better as a midfielder than Kulusevski. He plays in the role of Mezzala and is a player much more up to the expectations of Inter.”

Pistocchi also spoke on Radja Nainggolan, who was forced out of Inter and loaned to Cagliari.

“I’m sorry to see an extraordinary player like Nainggolan have his Inter career comprimised for things that have little to do with football.” he continued.

“There are no doubts in terms of how he can perform but rather whether he can behave. I know that this past Summer he was the one who worked hardest. Conte told him that certain behaviour is not accepted and Nainggolan told him he is how he is and for him to take him or leave him.

“If Nainggolan was to say he had made a mistake, I would have him back at once. He is extraordinary, Spalletti in fact had wanted him at all costs.”
