Udinese Director Marino: “Interest In de Paul? We’re Not A Club That Can Stop Players Leaving When Big Clubs Make Offers”

Udinese sporting director Pierpaolo Marino has admitted that the club could struggle to keep a hold of Rodrigo de Paul in the upcoming January transfer window.

The Argentine attacker has drawn links to several clubs with thanks to his continued good performances for the Bianconeri, who he has been on the books of since the Summer of 2016.

Inter are one such club that reportedly have an interest in the 25-year-old, whose versaility allows him to play in several positions in the midfield and in the attack.

“In January we would find it difficult to let him go but Udinese is a club that cannot stop players leaving when big clubs make offers,” he admitted in an interview with Italian radio station Radio 24.

de Paul has made 10 appearances across all competitions this season for Udinese, where he is under contract until the end of the 2023/24 season. He has one goal and two assists in 746 minutes on the field.
