Former Inter player Evaristo Beccalossi has spoken on the importance of believing in the youth movement that Italy seem to be going through at the moment.

“Italy under 19s is a beautiful path and with Roberto Mancini believing in young players, it makes our work a privilege. I see a group of players that know what they want and with humility. You have to be good at paving the way for them, they know they can go all the way,” Beccalossi, who is now involved with the Italy under 19s, told Italian radio station Radio Sportiva.

He then went on to praise one player in particular, Inter teen sensation Sebastiano Esposito, who made a goalscoring debut to life in the under 19s squad in the win over Malta a few days ago.

“Sebastiano Esposito is already performing at an important level. We must have confidence in our youth movement.”

Due to a number of injuries to Antonio Conte’s first team squad, Esposito has been drafted into the first team and has not been there to just make up the numbers either with Conte granting him four appearances to date this season.
