In an interview with Spanish broadcaster Movistar, Inter linked Ivan Rakitic has discussed his current situation that has seen him fall down the pecking order at Barcelona.

“As I love football, I want to aspire to everything and I am thinking about how to change this situation and for me it is very clear: I want to win more titles, here or anywhere, I want to go on to win the Champions League this season, then the next and again after that. I will give my all until the last day and enjoy every training session.

“I understand and respect the decisions of the coach and the club but I think I have given a lot in these five years and what I want is to be able to continue having fun and that is the most important thing for me. I am 31 years old, I am not 38, and I feel at my best.”

He concluded: “It is a very difficult situation and a very new one for me, but sometimes things happen that one does not have to 100% understand and has to accept them, football is complicated but we are at a time of the season in which I like to talk about what we have to do to improve as a team.”
