Inter are unlikely to make a move for Christian Kouame, despite a number of other reports suggesting otherwise, according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

The reason Inter are unlikely to make a move is because the Ivorian striker does not fit the profile of player that Antonio Conte is looking to strengthen his attack with.

A move for Kouame’s Genoa teammate Andrea Pinamonti would appear to be far more likely, the report goes on to explain.

Inter are on the lookout for a more physical striker and the most popular name is that of Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud. The Frenchman is out of contract with the Premier League club at the end of the season and should therefore be available on the cheap come the January transfer window.

The 33-year-old has fallen right down the pecking order at Chelsea and best fits the profile that Inter are after. The fact he already knows Antonio Conte’s methods is an added bonus too.
