Inter midfielders have contributed just under a third of the total goals that the team have scored in the league so far this season a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport highlights.

Every midfielder to have saw the field in the league has gotten themselves on the scoresheet with eight of Inter’s 26 league goals coming from the midfield which is equivalent to 31% of them. This represents a significant increase on recent years where goals from the midfield were scarce.

Borja Valero is the only midfielder not to have scored this season but has just had a total of one minute on the park and that did not come in the league but rather in the Champions League.

The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to state that the Spaniard is the most likely to bid farewell to the club in January which would then open up an opportunity for Inter to go out and recruit another midfielder.
