Pierpaolo Maran, the Milan city council councilor for urban planning, has admitted that the time has come for everyone to sit down and meet to discuss the Inter and AC Milan’s stadium project and the future of San Siro.
“We received a formal letter from AC Milan and Inter and obviously they will receive a formal reply as is right, but I believe that we have never seen a stadium built with official documents,” he is quoted as saying by Calcio e Finanza.
“We will give an answer but there is an invitation to start a group project, to understand how we can go from letters to facts, because to discuss how to build a stadium, we need to sit around a table and to check everything out.
“Both the city council and mayor are completely open to reaching a goal that interests everyone. We must discuss other points and I think we should do it together at the negotiating table and look for solutions because the management of the Meazza is complex and we must understand what formula is best.”
