Inter are the team to have made the second biggest improvement on their points total compared to this time last season, football data analysts Opta have highlighted.
After 12 Serie A matches this season, Antonio Conte’s Inter have picked up an impressive 31 points from a possible 36 available to them. This is six points more than former Inter manager Luciano Spalletti managed to guide his team to after 12 games last season.
The most improved side in Serie A are high-flyers Cagliari, who have taken many by surprise with their performances and results this season.
The Rossoblu find themselves in the final Champions League spot having picked up 24 points, which is a whole 10 more than they had managed last season at this stage.
