Edward Burleson, the scouting director for MLS franchise Sporting Kansas City, has confirmed that Inter are among a number of clubs keen on young midfielder Gianluca Busio.

“He is a great talent. He is a player who could easily play in Europe. He has great technique, he is a smart player, a box-to-box midfielder and someone who works hard,” he began an interview with TuttoMercatoWeb.

“For me, if he wants to be successful at high levels, he must change teams soon. The manager will decide his future and I honestly don’t think he will let him go because he is a great talent, he is a product of our youth academy and a player of which we are proud of.”

Burleson then went on to speak on the interest in the 17-year-old, who holds dual American and Italian citizenship.

“Are Inter interested? Yes. I also know that Manchester United are too. We have had an offer from him but not from Inter. We did not let him go but maybe in a year or two we will. What is certain is that pressure is growing on him given the many clubs that are coming forward and showing an interest.
