Former Atalanta coach Stefano Colantuono discussed the fight for this season’s league title when talking to Italian radio station Radio Sportiva today.
“This year Serie A seems to be tighter, with a duel at least for now between Inter and Juve that in my opinion will last until the end. Napoli must overcome this moment of difficulty due to misunderstandings. If they recompose themselves quickly, they will return in the fight.”
Inter are currently one point behind rivals and league leaders Juventus after 12 games, with the Nerazzurri achieving 31 points, only dropping points in two of their 12 games. Whilst Juventus remain undefeated so far this season, the shock position of Napoli have seen many suggest that they are no longer involved in the title race this season.
The Partenopei are currently seventh in the league after 12 games, sitting on 19 points, 12 behind the Nerazzurri. They have struggled to maintain consistency, drawing games against weaker sides like SPAL and Genoa.
