In an interview with Austrian news outlet ORF, Valentino Lazaro has discussed his arrival at Inter and how he has found adapting to Antonio Conte’s methods.

“I am proud to have remained calm. I arrived at a gigantic club and at the beginning I was injured and the team played well, so I had to be patient. It was my first time in such a situation,” he began.

“I play in a completely different system at Inter to that of the national team but I am flexible as a player and I have learned new things. I dream of winning the title with Inter but the season still has a long way to go.”

He was then asked about the regret he had about missing out on the EURO 2016 squad and what it would mean to be in the EURO 2020 squad.

“I still think today that if I were not injured during the last training sessions, I would have been in the final squad, but this time it would be very special, because I was involved in the qualification process from the beginning.”
