Inter’s Main Goal Is To Ensure That Stefano Sensi Is Fully Fit Rather Than Rush His Recovery

Inter’s main goal right now is to continue the recovery of star midfielder Stefano Sensi, to ensure that he is fully fit by the end of the international break, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia.

The report details how important the 24-year-old Italian midfielder is to Antonio Conte’s squad, with the whole team playing better as a result of his strong performances in the midfield. However, following his injury against Juventus in early October, the club cannot afford to rush his recovery and make his physical condition worse.

The former Sassuolo midfielder played 22 minutes in the Nerazzurri’s 3-2 loss to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League last month but was clearly unfit and Conte didn’t risk him in the two succeeding games, the report adds. Furthermore, the club and the player both agree that they want his return to be the beginning of a long run of games, rather than a stop start situation.

Due to this, the report highlights, Sensi is incredibly unlikely to play against Torino on the 23 November, although he may be fit in time for the Nerazzurri’s Champions League clash against Slavia Prague.
