Italian Report Suggests Inter Reignite Interest In Udinese’s Rodrigo De Paul

Inter have various players in their sights for the upcoming January transfer window, with a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport analyzing the key names.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are looking to sign one or two players in the window in order to strengthen their squad and prepare for a title race with the Bianconeri.

Inter coach Antonio Conte had identified Barcelona’s Arturo Vidal as a player he wanted, but the club’s management denied the idea, especially considering the Blaugrana didn’t want to lose the Chilean midfielder.

The goal in the transfer window is to sign a player who understands Italian football, with a bonus being if the player is young, the report highlights.

Therefore, a player like Napoli’s Allan would be a great choice, but the Partenopei aren’t willing to give up the Brazilian midfielder.

So, Inter will turn to Udinese to attempt to sign their star midfielder Rodrigo De Paul, although indications suggest that he will not be cheap, especially after signing a new deal with the club last month.

Other names listed in the report include Gaetano Castrovilli from Fiorentina, who isn’t for sale and would likely cost a lot, and Atalanta owned Swedish midfielder Dejan Kulusevski, currently impressing whilst on loan with Parma.

Finally, the Nerazzurri’s management are preparing themselves for Barcelona’s likely attempts to sign star striker Lautaro Martinez next summer and are preparing a new contract – although they don’t plan to include a release clause.
