Inter owned winger Ivan Perisic, who is currently on loan with German side Bayern Munich, spoke to gathered reporters at a press conference today ahead of Croatia’s friendly against Georgia tomorrow, with Croatian media outlet 24h.ba noting his words.
“I discovered that I scored the decisive goal for our qualification, but the only thing that matters is that Croatia wins.”
He then spoke about the expectations placed upon the squad following their second-place finish at last summer’s World Cup in Russia.
“All eyes will be on us at the European Championships after the great success in Russia. We have a deep and quality squad, we are not afraid and we look forward to it.”
“The European Championships will be played in many countries, but I have no doubt that our fans will be everywhere, and as always, we will do our best for Croatia. New and young players are coming, the competition is important and Croatia remain strong.”
