Reigning Premier League champions Manchester City have been keenly following Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi since his move to the Nerazzurri, according to a report from Italian media outlet Calciomercato.com.

The report details how the former Sassuolo midfielder was one of the highlights of Inter’s transfer window, and his immediate impact with the squad caused the English side to first notice him. The Manchester based club have been sending scouts over the last few months to watch the player, although his injury did interrupt his strong start to the season.

Manchester City is not the only club interested in him, the report continues. Catalan giants Barcelona are also keenly following the 24-year-old Italian. However, Inter have absolutely no interest in losing Sensi next summer and see him as a core part of the club’s project under coach Antonio Conte. Sensi scored three goals and provided four assists in his first seven league games with the Nerazzurri, before suffering a tear in his abductor muscle against Juventus in Early October.
