The City of Milan wrote a letter to Inter and AC Milan this morning giving clarifications requested by the clubs last week about the construction of the new stadium, according to a report from Italian news outlet ANSA.

The report details how the clarifications were about the future of the San Siro stadium and the historical justification used by the Cultural Heritage to protect the existing stadium. The City also reiterated their clear willingness to meet the two Milanese clubs in order to continue discussions.

The City Council also informed that teams that they have contacted the Milan Superintendent in order to verify the space available to the clubs in the San Siro area, the report continues, with the City promising to give the clubs an update when an answer arrives.

Furthermore, the City Council have also requested that the two teams review their feasibility study to see if it could fit with the reduced space available as well as the idea of renovating the existing San Siro, to understand the viability of the finances.

The City also confirmed that there are no legal constraints on the timing of both the study and the presentation of their final project.
