Inter owned striker Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa is unlikely to return to Europe, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, with the report suggesting that Inter are only dealing with Flamengo at the moment.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are deep into negotiations with the Brazilian club for the 23-year-old striker, who is currently on loan there. So far this season he has scored 29 goals and provided ten assists in 37 appearances for the club, helping them to reach the Copa Libertadores final.

Furthermore, the Brazilian club have offered up to €22 million plus bonuses for Gabigol’s signature but have slowed down talks recently due to Inter’s refusal to lower their price for the striker, the report adds. However, the two clubs will meet at the end of November to fully finalise the situation and complete the deal before the player’s loan spell expires at the end of December.
