Inter Midfielder Stefano Sensi Unlikely To Play Against Torino On Saturday

Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi is certain to not start for the Nerazzurri against Torino on Saturday, with his inclusion in the match-day squad even unlikely, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri’s main goal is to ensure that he recovers from his injury fully and doesn’t exacerbate the injury at all.

The club understand the importance of the player and would prefer him to be fully fit for their upcoming Champions League game against Slavia Prague, an incredibly important match for the Nerazzurri if they hope to progress to the knockout stages of the competition.

Furthermore, Conte’s midfield is further reduced due to the injury to Roberto Gagliardini, the report continues. The player, who was missed the games against Borussia Dortmund and Hellas Verona due to a muscle injury, is still training separately and isn’t fully fit yet.

The midfield trio of Nicolo Barella, Matias Vecino and Marcelo Brozovic will all return to Inter’s training ground tomorrow, the report highlights.

The three will have to work hard over the coming days considering the complete lack of depth in the midfield that’s forcing Conte to deploy them, with his only other alternative being Borja Valero, who has only played a single minute this season.
