Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella received high ratings from the Italian press for his performance against Armenia last night in Italy’s 9-1 win, with the 22-year-old Italian scoring a goal.

A report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport gave Barella a 7.5 rating, talking about his growth under Inter coach Antonio Conte and Azzurri coach Roberto Mancini. They also suggested that he is capable of everything and is one of only a few in his role.

He received a slightly lower rating of 7 in a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport. The report spoke about his wonderful goal to give Italy a 3-0 lead and his intensity and aggressiveness in the first half, before his substitution.

Finally, a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport gave the 22-year-old Italian a 7. The report touched on his impressed dribbling with the ball and his commanding presence in the midfield. Furthermore, they highlighted his importance to coach Antonio Conte and the likelihood of him being one of Italy’s stars next summer in Euro 2020.
