Barcelona aren’t interested in Inter defender Milan Skriniar, according to a report found in today’s paper edition of the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo.

The report details how the Blaugrana have been offered the 24-year-old Slovakian defender on “a couple of occasions”, but have turned him down both times, citing their lack of interest in the player. The report doesn’t specify who offered Skriniar, whether it was his agent, Inter or another party.

This goes against the rumours that suggest that the Catalan club are looking to sign Skriniar next summer as a future replacement to club hero Gerard Pique. However, this doesn’t mean that Inter can rest on their laurels, as there are still rumours that Spanish side Real Madrid are interested in the defender.

Skriniar, who is contracted to Inter until 2023, signed his latest contract renewal with the club in May of this year, suggesting that he isn’t thinking about leaving the Milanese side just yet.
