Inter midfielder Antonio Candreva is one of many players who have impressed Inter coach Antonio Conte, and the club is working on his contract renewal now, according to a report from Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are convinced by the performances of the 32-year-old Italian so far this season, and would like to extend his current contract, currently due to expire in June of 2021. The player is likely to be offered an extra year on his current deal, tying him to Inter until 2022.

However, there will be a delay before the deal is fully finalised, the report continues, suggesting that there won’t be an official announcement until December or even January, when the two parties have agreed upon everything.

So far this season Candreva has made 14 appearances for the Nerazzurri, scoring three goals and providing two assists in the process. He has only missed two Inter games so far this season.
