Inter coach Antonio Conte is planning to deploy Uruguayan midfielder Matias Vecino against Torino on Saturday, following his high fitness levels after the international break, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how Conte was a little apprehensive to deploy the 28-year-old midfielder, considering his recent fitness troubles, but was impressed in the great shape of Vecino upon his return from his international break with Uruguay. The player featured in both of Uruguay’s friendlies against Hungary and Argentina and seemed in a good physical condition.

Therefore, Conte will start Vecino against Torino on Saturday, important considering the lack of depth in the midfield at the moment thanks to the injuries to Stefano Sensi and Roberto Gagliardini. The 50-year-old Italian coach is also forced to play both Nicolo Barella and Marcelo Brozovic twice in four days, against Torino on Saturday and then Slavia Prague on Tuesday, due to the lack of depth.

However, Conte is planning to give Barella a rest against SPAL at the start of December.
