Injured Inter forward Alexis Sanchez is hoping to return to the pitch for the Nerazzurri for their game against Napoli in January, according to a report in today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 30-year-old Chilean forward, who hasn’t featured for Inter since their 3-1 win over Sampdoria at the end of September due to an ankle injury suffered with the Chilean national team, is working hard on his recovery and his hoping to return for Inter’s journey south to face Napoli on the 5th January 2020.

Sanchez, who joined the Nerazzurri on loan from Premier League side Manchester United this summer, only made four Inter appearances before his injury, failing to show his true potential to the Milanese fans.

He managed to score one goal and provide one assist in those four appearances and also managed to receive a red card in his most recent Inter game.
