Inter defender Diego Godin expressed his happiness at being a part of the Uruguayan national team with a post on his Instagram page yesterday.

The 33-year-old Inter defender has made 135 caps for Uruguay since his debut in 2005. He has scored eight goals and provided six assists for his country and has represented them at three consecutive World Cups. Uruguay played a friendly match against Argentina on Monday, which ended 2-2. It was their final game of the 2019 calendar.

Godin celebrated the end of the national team’s calendar, posting a photo of some of the squad having dinner alongside the caption: “Recovering after the game with the guys! Last game of this year with good feelings. Next time we start a long and hard way with the idea of being in another World Cup.”
